ABOUT US
Sue Barbato is the Host and Producer of Dancing Dog Events. She has an extensive background in the music business while also spending many years advocating for the welfare of animals in San Diego County. These two passions ultimately led her to create Dancing Dog Events, a silent disco venture that delights party attendees, while also giving back to animal welfare organizations through awareness and donations.
Barbato, a former resident of Boston, moved to Los Angeles and earned executive roles in marketing and promotion for Enigma Records/Capitol Records, BMG Entertainment and MCA Records. She moved to San Diego and worked in music licensing at The Music Network in San Diego. While in San Diego, she co-founded a 501(c)-3 non-profit dog rescue group, The Dog Squad. Over a period of 4 years, The Dog Squad had helped over 300 dogs find permanent loving homes and escape the fate of euthanasia.
Barbato discovered the Silent Disco scene when an accomplished Music Producer (“Entangled Mind”) introduced her to it. She was hooked and her passion for music and animals collided! Each time Dancing Dog Events hosts a silent disco, they donate a portion of the proceeds to a non-profit animal welfare organization.

"I recently attended my first silent disco at a Dancing Dog event and I have to admit I found the whole concept a little strange but it turned out to be a really fun, unique and energetic and interactive experience! It seemed as though people were less inhibited about dancing since we all were dancing to different channels. The music selection was awesome and it was a fun night with lots of laughs! I can't wait to do it again and highly recommend Dancing Dog for a party, team building event or just a random group of people getting together. You are guaranteed to have a fabulous time!
